Due to the hand-made and customizable nature of our products, we need to know exactly what you want to create. A design consultation starts as a conversation where we discuss the materials you like and the size requirements of your piece. We will then apply those parameters to our base models and show you the design enhancements live. We will produce renderings to show you the proposed final product. When you have finalized your dream piece, we will start making it a reality.

Yes. We charge for the design consultation. When you commit to building your custom piece of furniture, the design consultation fee is deducted from the final cost of the project.

Glass is as hard as stone, and in most cases, more durable than other materials. Though not a mineral like granite or marble, glass has an equivalent Mohs scale rating as high as 7, the same as granite. With the variety of thicknesses ranging from 1/2” to 5” that we use on our furniture pieces, our tops are very robust.

We always consider the weight of the finished product and the logistics of installing the glass top and base. We can accommodate most scenarios. In your design consultation, we will review these limitations and make a game plan to address any potential issues.

Our partners at Andrew Pearson Glassworks are experts in what they do. For our furniture, we suggest a Low Iron Glass (which is clear) and Standard Clear Glass (which has the characteristic green edges seen in most glass). We can achieve a wide variety of custom colors by using Low Iron Glass with back painting. In this situation, the glass is clear but picks up the reflections of the back painting, influencing the color of the glass top. There are also several textured options available. These can be discussed during the consultation.

We do not hook up plumbing to our vanities. We will drill the required holes in a glass vanity top based on your hardware choices. When we deliver your vanity, we will install the base and the glass top, and ensure they are stable and anchored. You will need a plumber to install the plumbing and the faucets.
